Jacob Wright

I am an IES Postdoctoral Associate at Princeton University for the 2026–2027 academic year, before joining the University of Queensland in July 2027. I received my PhD in economics from the University of Minnesota.

My research is in macro-labor and spatial economics, with a primary focus on questions in education economics. I study how education systems and labor markets shape the formation of human capital across the lifecycle and across space. Combining empirical evidence with quantitative models, my research then evaluates how education and labor market policies affect macroeconomic outcomes.
