Jacob Wright

I am a PhD student at the University of Minnesota. I will be joining Princeton University as an IES Postdoctoral Associate for 2026–2027 before joining the University of Queensland in July 2027.

My research is in macro-labor and spatial economics, with a primary focus on questions in education economics. I study how education systems and labor markets shape the formation of human capital across the lifecycle and across space. Combining empirical evidence with quantitative models, my research then evaluates how education and labor market policies affect macroeconomic outcomes.
